What to Verify During the Trial

During the 7-day free trial, users are responsible for verifying the following:

  Confirm successful footage transfer.

  Verify that your macOS version supports FireWire/DV importing
• •
  Confirm that all hardware, cables, and adapters are working correctly with your system Failure to verify compatibility during the free trial may make you ineligible for a refund.

Refund Grace Period

  Refund requests must include one or more of the following:

    Error logs.

    Screen recording showing the issue.

    Screenshots or other proof of functionality problems.

    Refunds are granted only for software-related issues, not for known OS or hardware limitations.

How The 7 Day Free Trial Works

    Perpetual License ($129): Provides access to all v9 updates with a one-time payment.

  The refund policy applies equally to both packages. We aim to sustain and improve the product for all users through these options.

Important Notes

  FireWire & macOS Compatibility

  • -
    macOS 16 (Tahoe) and newer versions do NOT support FireWire.
  • -
    As a result, DV importing will not work on macOS 16 (Tahoe) or later.
  • -
    Users must verify macOS compatibility during the free trial.

  If a user purchases LifeFlix without testing FireWire/DV importing during the trial on their macOS version, they are NOT eligible for a refund due to FireWire incompatibility.

  Hardware & Device Compatibility

    Users must verify during the free trial that their capture devices, cameras, cables, and adapters are functional and compatible with their Mac and LifeFlix.

    Hardware-related issues, wear and tear, or incompatibilities must be identified during the trial period.

    Failure to test and confirm hardware compatibility during the free trial makes the purchase ineligible for a refund.

  Check Your Cables and Adapters:

    Use a FireWire cable with the correct Thunderbolt adapters.

    USB cables are not supported.

  Verify System:

    Ensure your Mac is running macOS 10.7 or later.

    Version 3 is for OS10.7 (Lion - 2011) and above.

    Version 4 and 5 is for OS12 (Monetery - 2021) and above.

  Device Wear and Tear:
